Submissions are still open and we are ready to hear all about what learning and living in lockdown has meant for you.
Are you a foodie? Did you perhaps spend your 2020 indoors discovering new recipes that you just loved? If so, we’re jealous and we want a taste. Share your favourite lockdown recipes with the #NapierBigRead for the chance to be published in this year’s edition!
We want to hear about your experiences from the past year, from the outright struggles to the surprising successes. What knowledge and resources do you wish that you had going into lockdown? What moments do you want to keep forever? What lessons have you learnt?
Share these, in whatever shape or format that feels good to you for the chance to be published in this year’s #NapierBigRead!
The Napier Big Read is excited to announce that submissions are open again! Now is your chance to send in stories, poems, art, photography, recipes, playlists, or anything that has been important to you this past year.
We are proud to be launching #NapierBigRead 19/20 in Book Week Scotland!
This year the Napier Big Read is connecting students and staff at Edinburgh Napier University, and partnering with the University of the West of Scotland to join two universities across Scotland in the shared joy of books and reading.
We are launching in Book Week Scotland, a nationwide annual celebration of books and reading that takes place across Scotland. During Book Week Scotland, people of all ages and walks of life come together in libraries, schools, community venues and workplaces to share and enjoy books and reading.
We have a new campaign – more inclusive, and celebrating a more diverse range from the rich heritage of Scottish literature, all published by our Merchiston Publishingimprint.
This year we are inviting students and staff to vote for the next Big Read!
We are nominating –
4 #NapierBigRead books across 3 campuses in Edinburgh 2 universities across Scotland, during 1 national Book Week.
